McDonald’s Is Bringing Back Its 2 For $5 Deal, And And It Includes Cheesy Quarter Pounders This Time

Sometimes when you’re going to McDonald’s, you don’t want to have to choose just one of your favorite items to order. The chain is bringing back a deal that will take the tough decision out of the equation.

Beginning tomorrow, McDonald’s is bringing back its 2 for $5 Mix & Match deal, so “customers can choose two craveable and delicious menu items at a great value,” per a press release. A fan favorite has made its way on the new 2 for $5 menu—the Quarter Pounder with cheese.

Other options for the deal include a Big Mac, Filet-O-Fish, and 10-piece Chicken McNuggets. You should take advantage of the cheap deal soon, though, because it’s re-launching as a limited time offer (as the $6 Classic Meal Deal is concluding).

McDonald’s is also “enhancing” the $1 $2 $3 Dollar Menu at the beginning of January, allowing local markets to offer food and drinks on the menu “with greater flexibility, while also meeting the tastes and preferences of their local customers.”

Might I suggest hitting up the 2 for $5 deal with a pal after a night out? A Big Mac will absolutely cure what ails you…

Baskin-Robbins’ New Caramel Cappuccino Cheesecake Ice Cream Is All The Best Flavors In One

Baskin-Robbins’ December Flavor of the Month puts any other basic holiday flavor to shame. The new Caramel Cappuccino Cheesecake ice cream is just as decadent as it sounds, and it’s filled with some of your favorite sweets.

The flavor begins with cheesecake- and coffee-flavored ice cream, which really would be enough on its own, TBH. That’s then churned with cappuccino toffee and cheesecake pieces, adding some good textures in there. The icing caramel on the cake is a salted caramel swirl, bringing the caramel, coffee, and cheesecake flavors together.

Baskin-Robbins posted about the newcomer on Facebook and people seemed very eager to try it. One user tagged someone and wrote, “I don’t think I’ve ever wanted anything so bad in my life.”

Although we’re only a few days into December, New Year’s Eve will be here before you know it and Baskin-Robbins is offering guests a regular or kids-sized scoop of ice cream for $1.50 that day at participating locations. I know what flavor I’m getting!

The ‘HOLY GRAIL OF SCOTCH’ Smashes All Alcohol Records, Sells for $1.5 Million

Some say that the Holy Grail gives eternal life to the drinker. This Holy Grail, however, merely confers an elevated level of socioeconomic status.

A hand-painted bottle of 1926 60-year-old Macallan whisky, dubbed the “Holy Grail” of Scotch, sold at a Christie’s auction in London on Thursday morning for $1.5 million, shattering records and blowing the minds of booze lovers everywhere.

The purchase set a new record for the most money ever spent on a single bottle of wine or spirits.

The unique bottle was one of 40 filled in 1986 after the liquor had spent 60 years in a barrel. It was the only bottle to feature commissioned artwork from the Irish muralist Michael Dillon, depicting the Easter Elchies House of The Macallan. It was last sold in 1999 at London’s Fortnum and Mason.

As a point of comparison, two bottles of the very same juice—one with a label by Valerio Adami and the other with a label by Sir Peter Blake, who designed the album cover for the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band—set world records when they sold as a pair back in March for just over $1.1 million.

Whether or not this Grail grants the drinker eternal life, we may never know. A whisky this expensive will likely just be bought and sold as an investment—not as an agricultural product meant to be consumed.

All The Best Black Friday Restaurant Deals You Need To Know About

Black Friday steals aren’t just limited to kitchen appliances, clothes, gadgets, and all the other things one could possibly buy—restaurants are lining up to give you great deals on food, too. Here are just a few of the actually insane freebies, the basically crazy freebies, and the ridiculous discounts your favs are doing this upcoming Friday.

7-Eleven

These guys are celebrating the holiday with a good old BYO Cup extravaganza. Yup, on Friday, 7-Eleven says “customers are invited to bring their thermoses, cookie jars, buckets, punchbowls, and other crazy-fun containers to fill up with their favorite Slurpee drink” for just $1.49, which is the price of a regular medium Slurpee. Did you hear that? You can have buckets of Slurpee on Friday. Buckets!

They’re also doing $0.50 slices of pizza through Cyber Monday for 7Rewards members, if you’re feeling that too.

Potbelly

The good people over at Potbelly Sandwich shop are giving you “100 percent off a cookie with any purchase,” they explained in a recent press release. I…I think that means you get a free cookie with purchase, no?

Dunkin’

OK, technically, Dunkin’ isn’t giving out anything for free on Friday, but they are partnering with Lyft that day, as it happens to also be National Espresso Day (the more you know!). If you use the code “SIPDUNKIN” whilst in the Lyft app, you can get an up-to-$10 ride to Dunkin’ free.

DoorDash—Wendy’s, Applebee’s, Burger King, and more

This one’s a doozy. You ready? DoorDash says “the first 15,000 customers to place a DoorDash order of $5 or more from [Wendy’s, Wingstop, Jack in the Box, Applebee’s, Burger King, and Chick-Fil-A] using the code ‘BLACKFRYDAY’ will receive free fries,” presumably from the restaurant they ordered from (we’ve reached out to DoorDash to confirm). That’s 15,000 batches of free fries! You can be the proud owner of one of them!
