Watermelon Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 4 cups watermelon cubed
  • 3 lemons juiced
  • 3 cups cold water
Simple Syrup
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup water or to taste

Directions

  1. To make simple syrup, combine sugar and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Cool completely.
  2. Blend watermelon until smooth. Strain through a mesh strainer. Discard pulp.
  3. Fill a 2 quart container 1/2 way with ice. Add watermelon juice, lemon juice and simple syrup to taste.
  4. Top with cold water and serve immediately.

Drunk Jack Frosties

Ingredients

  • 1 c. vodka
  • 1 c. Champagne
  • 1/2 c. Blue Curacao
  • 1/2 c. lemonade
  • 3 c. ice
  • Lemon wedge
  • White sanding sugar

Directions

  1. In a blender, combine vodka, champagne, blue curacao, lemonade and ice. Blend until combined.
  2. Run a lemon wedge around the rim of each glass then dip in sanding sugar.
  3. Pour frosties into rimmed glasses and serve immediately.

Kiwi Lemonade Spritzer

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 6 kiwis
  • 2 c. lemon juice
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 liter bottle seltzer water
  • Lemon and/or kiwi wedges

Directions

  1. Purée the sugar and kiwi in a blender until smooth.
  2. In a 1-quart container, stir together the lemon juice and water. Add the kiwi purée and stir. Chill until very cold.
  3. To serve, pour 1/2 cup of the kiwi mixture into each of 8 tall glasses. Fill with ice and add roughly 1/2 cup seltzer water to fill the glass. If you like, spike a lemon and/or kiwi wedge on the rim of each glass.

Strawberry-Thyme Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 8 sprigs fresh thyme, plus more for serving
  • 1 quart strawberries, hulled and sliced (about 2 1/2 cups)
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice (from about 10 lemons)
  • Splash of vodka (optional)

Directions

  1. Combine the sugar, thyme, and 1 cup water in a small pot. Bring to a boil and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is dissolved. Let cool and discard the thyme.
  2. Combine the thyme syrup with the strawberries, lemon juice, and 5 cups cold water in a large pitcher. Chill for 30 minutes or up to 12 hours. Serve over ice, garnished with additional thyme. Add a splash of vodka, if desired.

Fruity Vodka Party Punch

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces half of a 12 ounce can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
  • 16 ounces half of a 12 ounce can frozen fruit punch concentrate, thawed
  • 1 cup vodka
  • 1/2 cup light rum
  • 1 bottle approximately 33 ounces club soda

Directions

  1. Stir all ingredients in a pitcher. Add fruit for garnish (sliced oranges, limes, pineapple, and cherries).
  2. Serve over ice.
  3. Note that cocktail recipes are somewhat to taste. Want this stronger? Add more vodka. Want it less sweet? Add more soda.

Strawberry-Lemon Punch

Ingredients

  • can frozen pink lemonade concentrate
  • 1 pt. ripe strawberries
  • 6 1/4 c. cold water
  • 1 qt. ginger ale
  • whole strawberries

Directions

  1. Process lemonade concentrate, hulled strawberries and 1 cup of the water in blender or food processor until berries are liquified.
  2. Pour lemonade mixture into punch bowl. Stir in remaining 5 1/4 cups cold water. Gradually stir in ginger ale. Serve over ice. Garnish with berries.
