Grilled Bourbon Chops

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup bourbon or unsweetened apple juice
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 bone-in pork loin chops (1/2 inch thick and 8 ounces each

Bourbon Cinnamon Glazed Ham

Ingredients

  • 1 c. Bourbon
  • 1 c. light brown sugar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 7 lb. Spiral Sliced Bone-In Baked Ham
  • ¼ c. yellow mustard
  • ½ c. brown sugar

Ingredients

  1. Preheat oven to 325 Degrees.
  2. In a medium saucepan, bring Bourbon, cinnamon sticks, and brown sugar to a simmer. Allow simmering for 15-20 minutes until sauce becomes slightly thickened. Set aside and allow to cool slightly.
  3. Place the baked ham inside desired roasting pan. Pour the glaze over the ham and even in between the ham slices, even the cinnamon sticks. Use a pastry brush and brush the ham with the yellow mustard, skin side. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Cover with aluminum foil completely. Bake for 2 hours or until internal temperature reaches 145 Degrees.

Beacon Mule (Bourbon Ginger Beer Cocktail)

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces whiskey or bourbon (we used Heritage Distilling)
  • ¾ ounce freshly squeezed lime juice (approx ½ a large lime)
  • 4-6 ounces ginger beer, chilled
  • Garnish: lime twist or wedge

Directions

  1. Add whiskey and lime juice to a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake until well chilled, about 15 seconds. Strain into an ice-filled highball glass. Top with ginger beer and garnish with lime twist or wedge.

Bourbon-Butter-Salted Pecan Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 (14-oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (5-oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon table salt
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
  • 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon

The Gold Rush

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 1 ounce lemon juice
  • 1 ounce honey syrup*
  • Lemon twist, for garnish

Directions

  1. Combine the bourbon, lemon juice, and honey syrup in an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously until well-chilled. Strain into an ice-filled old fashioned glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
    Tip:
    *To make honey syrup, combine 1 cup boiling water and 1 cup honey. Stir to combine, then let cool. This yields enough for 8 drinks and will keep, refrigerated, for 5 days.

New York Sour Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 2 ozRye whiskey or bourbon
  • 1 ozLemon juice
  • 3⁄4 oz Simple syrup
  • 1⁄2 oz Red wine

Directions

  1. Add all the ingredients except the wine to a shaker and fill with ice.
  2. Shake, and strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
  3. Slowly pour the wine over the back of a spoon so that it floats on top of the drink.
