  • 500g packet fresh egg noodles
  • 1/2 cup Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand Oyster Sauce
  • 1/3 cup smooth or crunchy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons black vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 750g pork mince
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2cm piece fresh ginger, finely grated
  • 1 tablespoon Sichuan peppercorns, finely crushed
  • 1 tablespoon sambal oelek
  • 2/3 cup chopped roasted salted peanuts
  • 2 long red chillies, thinly sliced
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 bunches choy sum, steamed, to serve

  • 1/2 cup (4oz/115g) butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup (4z/115g) sugar
  • 1/2 cup (3oz/85g) brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg*
  • 3/4 cup (3 3/4oz/105g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups (4 1/12oz/128g) rolled oats
  • 2/3 cup (3 1/3oz/94g) raisins

Slow Cooker Chicken Thighs

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 6 bone-in or boneless chicken thighs
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 c. low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 1/4 c. honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 oz. freshly minced ginger
  • 2 tbsp. Sriracha
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Directions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil.
  2. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper and sear until golden, 3 minutes per side. Transfer to slow cooker.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, ketchup, honey, garlic, ginger, Sriracha, and lime juice. Pour sauce over chicken and toss until coated.
  4. Cover and cook until no longer pink, on low for 6 hours or high for 2 hours.
    Serve over rice.

For the 8″ Cake
  • 175g Butter (Unsalted) (Softened )
  • 175g Unrefined Golden Caster Sugar
  • 3 Egg(s) (Free Range) (Large)
  • 175g Self-Raising White Flour
  • 1½ tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 Lemon Zest
For the Buttercream
  • 500g Icing Sugar
  • 120g Butter (Unsalted, Softened)
  • 30ml Lemon Juice (Fresh)
  • 1 tsp Lemon Zest
  • 2 tbsp Milk

Chocolate Lassi

Ingredients

  • 250 gm yoghurt (curd)
  • 5 almonds
  • 100 gm dark chocolate
  • 1 cup Water

Directions

  1. Hang the curd the night before so that the water gets strained.
  2. Melt the chocolate, add curd and water.
  3. Mix it thoroughly, then add the almonds and serve.
  4. Finally, you may garnish this chilled drink either by sprinkling some coffee powder on it or by adding some chocolate syrup on the top depending upon your taste and liking.
