Triple Ginger & Spice Cake

Ingredients

  • 250g pack butter
  • 250g dark brown muscovado sugar
  • 250g black treacle
  • 300ml milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 100g glacé ginger from a jar, finely chopped
  • 375g plain flour
  • 2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
For the icing
  • 3 tbsp ginger
  • syrup from the jar
  • 5 tbsp icing mix
